BSNL 20GB/per Day new Plan for Rs 491
BSNL Shocker: 20GB/Day for Rs 491!
BSNL has described this as their most economical plan ever.
And we are finding it hard to disagree!
BSNL broadband users can now get 20 GB per day for just Rs 491 per month. This means for Rs 491, BSNL users can get 600 GB to use, per month. This means per GB cost has now come down to Rs 0.81.
20 Mbps speed has been promised by BSNL under this new broadband plan. Once 20 GB are over, the speed will come down to 1 Mbps.
As per BSNL, this plan is already live in some circles. Interested users are advised to visit the nearest BSNL office.
Meanwhile, in a somewhat related news, Airtel has revised their Rs 149 and Rs 399 Prepaid Plans, but the changes are not good for the end-user.
Instead of 2 GB/day, users will now get only 1 GB under Rs 149 plan. Similarly, data benefits has been reduced for Rs 399 plan as well. Users will now get 1.4 GB data per day for 70 days, instead of 84 days earlier.
It is still not clear what prompted Airtel to reduce the data allocated, specially now when Jio is threatening them from every side.
No doubt, this has thrown open the market wide open for Jio and Vodafone to make some inroads.
BSNL: We Will Launch 5G By 2019
BSNL has once again announced that they will launch their much-awaited 5G service before anyone else does.
This is the third time BSNL has declared their intentions vis-a-vis 5G services.
BSNL Chief General Manager Anil Jain has made it clear that although BSNL missed the 4G bus, they won’t lag behind in the new 5G battle.
He confirmed that BSNL is all set to launch 5G by 2019, as he said, “We can’t give any timeline. Though, world over people are talking to launch 5G by June 2020. But, there are some expectations that we may see 5G (launch) in 2019 itself.”
Last month as well, BSNL has declared that they will be first in India to launch 5G service.
After partnering with Nokia for 4G deployment, BSNL is again partnering with them for 5G deployment as well.
We will keep you updated as more details come in.
